A holiday in Summer in Innsbruck
Hiking around Innsbruck starting directly from out Hotel
Summiteers get their money's worth in and around Innsbruck on a summer holiday as do leisure hikers. Via ferrata and single trails inspire adrenalin junkies, wonderful hiking trails and magnificent city gardens invite you to stroll. and of course in summer it's a must for every holidaymaker to admire the capital of the Alps from a bird's eye view – from the 2,250 m high Hafelekar.
When the mountain calls you to hike ...
... then you simply take the mountain railway from the city and you will be at 2,000 meters in Austria's largest nature park within 20 minutes with only one change of railways. If would like, continue up another 300 meters to the Hafelekar. In summer, there are beautiful hiking trails with breathtaking views, in different degrees of difficulty and with rustic alpine pastures.
And of course, that's not all: Numerous mountain railways bring you into the idyllic mountain landscape of Innsbruck and its holiday villages:

On the Goethe trail to the Pfeishütte
This hike can be started directly from the hotel (Nordkettenbahnen) and is rather demanding (fitness required), requires a head for heights and good shoes. With these preconditions in mind, however, this is one of the most beautiful hikes in the Alps. The Goethe Trail leads directly under the ridge of the Nordkette and starts from the Hafelekar mountain station. The hike offers incredible views of the Karwendel mountains, the Karwendel Nature Park and the city of Innsbruck. Allow 5 hours of pure walking time, 10.5 km, 750 metres of altitude difference downhill and uphill again.
